SUMMER BIRDING IN SE AZ - A PERFECT TIME FOR COLORFUL BIRDS!
Summer bird watching (and hiking!) in SE Arizona is terrific! Our location on the San Pedro River, and in the nearby mountain canyons, are home to many resident birds, and is perfect for the birds that set up Summer housekeeping. The San Pedro River is at the center of some of the best Summer birding adventures in SE Arizona. Our perfect Riparian and Grasslands habitat affords our resident Summer birds a bountiful habitat for their nesting, rearing chicks, and frequenting our feeders! And the nearby grasslands and mountain canyons add to the diversity of habitat and birding opportunities. Short day trips in several different directions give our guests unparalleled opportunities to collect as many as 200 different species of hawks, doves, buntings, tanagers, flycatchers, orioles, sparrows (etc. etc.) and waterfowl during their stays.
CORONAVIRUS HAS AFFECTED ALL OF TOURISM AND LIFE THROUGHOUT THE NATION:
We join you in our heightened concern for the health and safety of our guests and our staff. We have redoubled all of our efforts to provide a clean and comfortable getaway. Daily routines now include repeated disinfecting sanitary cleaning of common "touch" surfaces (door knobs, light switches, counter tops, etc etc). We continue to use commercial sanitizing agents which are much more concentrated and powerful than household products to clean guest rooms, public areas, laundry areas and food preparation and food service items.
We have been fully vaccinated. And we require that all of our guests (those eligible to receive the vaccine) provide proof that they have been fully vaccinated. If you have made reservations to stay at the Casa, we will contact you to make sure that you can comply with this travel requirement. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for all of our guests and our staff while guests stay with us.
We are also monitoring the health of our staff, and will require anyone with any cold or flu symptoms to remain at home (none so far!), and we do ask all of our resident guests about their health status, prior travels, or possible exposures to the virus.
Following current CDC guidelines, any guests who have been fully vaccinated may elect to not wear masks in public areas of the Casa. Of course, if you choose to wear masks as an extra measure of protection, we encourage you to do so at your discretion. And we can serve your breakfasts in your room or at the tables around the courtyard if you prefer to have fresh air al fresco dining.
Do not hesitate to reach out to us to manage your reservation and alternatives for future travel. We are here for you and we want you to Be Well.
We also want to take this opportunity to Thank You for your ongoing support. Call us at (888) 257-2050 to book your reservation or to purchase a Gift Certificate to reward yourself or a friend for your self isolation during this public health crisis.
